Our last Update, “Reflection and recovery” (September 2021), encouraged governors to reflect on the changes seen in recent times (matters such as setting fee levels, parent contracts, furloughing staff, remote learning, public exams and wellbeing) and determine how best to move on by listening to stakeholders.
This latest Update, rather than focusing on the strategic matters that many governors will be facing over the summer (because advice about each is proliferating), looks at the proposed changes to the ISI inspection framework and advises readers not to lose sight of the significant steps forward schools have been taking in terms of Black Lives Matter, Everyone’s Invited and Net Zero.
The Update includes useful links to resources and reports to support Governors in their roles.
