We are delighted to have been commissioned to support Woodhouse College with the appointment of a Principal to succeed John Rubinstein.
The College has recently announced an ambitious partnership with Imperial College London to establish a new specialist maths school. It is hoped this will open next door to Woodhouse in North Finchley in 2023, becoming one of only a handful of specialist university-linked maths institutions that have been given the go-ahead.
Woodhouse, a member of the Maple Group of sixth form colleges and one of the top five in the country, will also become an Academy in January next year. This is needed as part of preparations for the new maths school rather than being aimed at changing Woodhouse’s character, admissions or staffing in any way.
With London’s population of 16-19-year-olds expected to rise over the next decade and the city’s participation rates in sixth form education amongst the highest in the UK, Woodhouse is extremely well placed for the future, despite the challenges posed by the current pandemic.
