Opportunity to lead the academic life of the North’s leading girls’ independent school.
For September 2022
Three miles south of Manchester’s vibrant city centre, Withington is thriving – a leader both regionally and nationally, with a proud history and inspiring ethos. There are over 700 girls in this day school, catering for those from 7 to 18.
The school is looking to appoint an outstanding individual in the key role of Deputy Head (Academic). This is a newly created role and will be integral to the Senior Leadership Team. The post holder will contribute to the ongoing strategic development of this successful school as well as leading the academic life and will share the school’s commitment to providing the very best educational outcomes in all aspects of school life for every girl.
Outstanding academic results and a forward looking co-curricular programme already characterise Withington. The new Deputy Head will have the exciting opportunity to take the school on its next stage of pedagogical development.
The Senior Leadership Team benefits from a collaborative, dynamic and productive team spirit and the staff, around 150 in total, are hugely talented, dedicated and committed.
The new Deputy Head (Academic) will be excited about the opportunities for the school in the next stage of its development, will have the ability to contribute both strategically and operationally and will be keen to make a difference.
