Hampton is now seeking to appoint an outstanding Development Director to take the lead in creating and delivering the School’s future fundraising and alumni relations strategies. Both will align with the vision, goals and values of the School and The Fitzwygram Foundation (a separate, but linked, charity established in 2016 for the sole purpose of increasing the number of free places offered at Hampton for pupils in financial need).
This is an exciting and distinctive opportunity to build the Development team, further develop relations with a broad network of stakeholders, cultivate an active alumni engagement programme, and raise the income required to significantly increase the number of free places available at Hampton.
Bringing the science of fundraising and contemporary best practice, along with outstanding relationship-building skills, the successful candidate will apply their considerable experience in creating and implementing a £multi-million fundraising strategy to optimise the School’s significant philanthropic potential. They will evidence success in leading and growing teams and building a long-term culture of philanthropy.
The successful candidate will be an inspiring individual with a strong track record in major gifts fundraising and stakeholder relations, and the experience to build and lead a high-achieving team that will support all aspects of a sector-leading fundraising campaign. Experience of working in a UK school environment is not essential, but candidates will be supportive of independent education in general and the Hampton ethos in particular.
