Unlocking Academic and Personal Potential

We are seeking to appoint an outstanding individual as our Director of Secondary Education.  Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you will lead on the school improvement strategy, develop capacity and provide clear support to the Headteachers of our secondary schools but also organisational leadership as part of WAT’s Executive team.

Windsor Academy Trust (WAT) is a highly successful and vibrant organisation that provides exceptional education across our family of schools within the West Midlands region.  Established in 2011, teaching and learning is at the core of all our work, underpinned by an extensive programme of professional learning for our staff.

This is an exciting time to join WAT and lead on school improvement and quality assurance strategies across our four secondary academies.  Recognised for our collaborative and aspirational culture and success in improving the outcomes for the children of our region, WAT is an ambitious Trust that welcomes those who want to inspire, develop and enhance the life-chances of children.

With exceptional leadership experience you will bring a track record of driving school improvement across a multi-academy trust/group of schools, working collaboratively and driving success.  You will need the skills to articulate a clear vision, inspire those you work with and provide visible leadership.  In return you will be supported by a Trust with shared values, which operates with absolute integrity and provides a professional and personal development culture for its staff.  Working closely with the Headteachers, the Executive and Central team and the team of WAT Subject Directors, Lead Practitioners and Curriculum Leads, you will have strong relationship management skills, exceptional communication skills and technical proficiency.  We are a Trust that provides autonomy along with accountability to our schools.  This is a role for a highly motivated, ambitious and values driven individual who has a desire to deliver improvements across our schools and work effectively to ensure a high quality education for all.
