The Board of Governors at Brighton College seeks an inspirational, charismatic and ambitious Head to lead Brighton College Prep School.

Brighton College – awarded the title of ‘School of the Decade’ by the Sunday Times in 2021 – is consistently recognised as UK’s best co-educational independent school. The new Head of Brighton College Prep, the main feeder school to Brighton College, will be expected to lead with authenticity, purpose and a deep-seated commitment to the progress and development of each and every pupil within the school.

This opportunity represents an exciting professional challenge for a proven senior leader who shares our aim of developing well-educated, respectful and intellectually curious young men and women ready to take a full, active and positive role in the world. All our leaders and teachers understand the values of an independent school education, the expectations of parents for the highest educational standards and the needs of our pupils who are very motivated to learn.

The successful candidate will have strong leadership experience with a track record of delivering academic excellence, supported by three main pillars of curiosity, confidence and kindness – essential to the success of all Brighton College schools. Creativity, innovation and a track record of effective school strategy should also be evidenced in any application and interview process.

Brighton College Prep School is a popular choice for parents living in Brighton and Hove, and the surrounding area, educating boys and girls from the ages of 3-13. It has a strong academic reputation together with high standards in sport and the arts; the majority of pupils gain places at Brighton College in Year 9.

The position comes with an attractive salary and a competitive package including medical cover and generous fee remission for children in both the Prep School and College **. Brighton College is a member of the Teachers’ Pension Scheme.
