Burgess Hill Girls is seeking a new Head to start in August 2022.
GSA BSA IAPS
This is an exciting opportunity in Sussex, following the retirement of Liz Laybourn who has been Head for over four years and given exceptional service to the school for over thirty.
The school has a mixed Nursery and then takes girls from Reception up to 18, with a number of boarders joining in the senior school. The total number of girls is around 470.
Founded in 1906 by Miss Beatrice Goode in Burgess Hill to provide a high-quality education for girls, it moved to its present location in 1928 where it has continued to inspire academic excellence whilst ensuring a broad co-curriculum and learning enrichment.
The next Head will be an experienced leader with the drive, energy and strategic vision to take the school forward in its pre-eminent aim to prepare the girls to be ‘Tomorrow’s Women’.
