The Council of the Francis Holland Schools Trust invites applications for the post of Head to succeed Mr Charles Fillingham, who has been appointed Head of Solihull School with effect from January 2023, following seven years of outstanding service at Regent’s Park.
Founded in 1878, Francis Holland School Regent’s Park enjoys an enviable reputation as one of the UK’s leading independent schools, whose focus on the values of knowledge, compassion, spirit and perseverance have helped it achieve exceptional success in both the academic and personal progress of its pupils. These dual aims reflect the School’s focus not only on the importance of intellectual rigour but also on mindfulness and the pastoral care of its pupils. The School’s ethos is rooted in its Church of England foundation and it is proud of its reputation for diversity and inclusion.
The School benefits from its close proximity to Regent’s Park and the vast array of opportunities afforded by its central London location.
Francis Holland Regent’s Park has grown in recent years and entry is highly competitive.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Francis Holland School in Sloane Square, which includes both a senior school and a junior school on its campus, and all of the Schools benefit from certain shared central services including a shared Bursary as well as oversight by one Board of Governors.
The next Head of Francis Holland Regent’s Park will have the drive, vision and ambition to lead this highly successful School in the next phase of its development as it seeks to build upon and expand its reputation and standing as a beacon of light for girls’ education in London whilst at the same time being open to the opportunities to widen the pool of those who can benefit from a Francis Holland education through enhanced bursary provision and the possibility of international expansion.
