Start date – from Easter 2022

The Woodard Corporation is founded on the vision of Canon Nathaniel Woodard, providing high quality education in an actively Christian school environment. Today, Woodard educates over 30,000 pupils in academies, independent and state-maintained schools. The Senior Provost is an ambassador and advocate for that vision, supporting chaplains and heads and leading a team of provosts to ensure Christian distinctiveness and the centrality of the Eucharist in Woodard Schools.

This is a unique and exciting opportunity for a leader to facilitate the nurture of young people in the Woodard community to develop values, attitudes, skills and behaviours that will enable their success in life and enable them to make a significant contribution to the common good.

The Senior Provost works closely with the other two senior executives, the Director of Finance and the Director of Education, and with the Chief Executive of the Woodard Academies Trust. He/she will be an ordained member of the Church of England and is accountable to the President in his/her clerical role and to the Chairman of the Board in his/her role as an Executive of the Corporation.

The remuneration package will include a salary equivalent to the stipend of an Archdeacon or Suffragan Bishop and housing or a housing allowance. All reasonable expenses will be reimbursed.
