This is a 5-10 minute free survey for parents to complete during the second half of the summer term. It will tell school leaders about levels of parental satisfaction and parents’ priorities for when students return to school. In addition, schools can choose to include two optional sections (also free) that ask parents whether the pandemic has affected their ability to afford the fees and how confident they are about the return to school in September.
The current crisis has led parents to scrutinise the value of their school’s provision more closely than ever and has tested schools’ ability to communicate well with their customers. It has shown school leaders the levels of trust and goodwill parents feel towards their child’s school. But how representative are the parents who make contact directly? How do the other parents feel about the school’s stance and how might this affect their attitudes in the future? How have parents’ views of the school been affected by the last two months and how have the changes to the economy affected affordability?
This survey is designed to give school leaders representative answers to these questions, to uncover what has worked well and less well and to obtain anonymous insights into parents’ attitudes and potential behaviours in the future.
We recommend the survey is run no earlier than 18th May. It will be available to schools from this date until the end of June.
The COVID-19 Parent Survey uses the same technology platform as our well established SchoolPulse® suite of benchmarked surveys. Our online summary report of results will be made available within 1 week of each survey being closed.
We will process the surveys on a first-come, first-served basis.
Please note that this service is free because it is based on a standardised survey. It may be possible to make some minor changes to the survey, but this will result in a small fee for each change. This would be discussed with you in advance.
