Catriona Sutherland-Hawes

An experienced Admissions professional, Catriona joined RSAcademics in 2023 as a Senior Consultant, working as part of our Strategy and Marketing Consultancy Services team.

Catriona started her career in the House of Commons, as Chief of Staff to a number of Conservative MPs, before moving on to work in the household of the then Prince of Wales in St James’s Palace.  The daughter of teachers, she then moved into the education sector as Director of Admissions at Latymer Upper School in Hammersmith where she put in place a focused strategy for both admissions and the care of bursary applicants and their families.  After 14 years she moved to Wycombe Abbey as Director of Admissions. Catriona has developed proven techniques and processes which ensure the Admissions Department is recognised as an invaluable and strategic department and one that is integrated fully into all aspects of school life.  Skilled in change management, she has extensive experience of giving strategic advice, and communicating and engaging with all stakeholders.

Catriona is a Governor of two London schools – a Prep school and a state primary, and is a Trustee of Forces Children, Scotland.
