Tim Edge is a pioneer in development and fundraising with an impressive track record of developing strategies and campaigns that have a significant impact on the schools he has worked with. During the last 18 years, Tim has worked as a Director of Development in some of the UK’s most high-profile independent schools, including Charterhouse, King’s College School, Wimbledon and Headington School, Oxford. Tim has planned and delivered four successful capital fundraising campaigns. He is also skilled at formulating development strategies that get results and in promoting fruitful legacy and trust giving. He frequently delivers talks to Heads and Governors on how to set up and nurture an effective development office. Tim also has extensive experience of operating in overseas markets, particularly in the Far East.
In 2013 Tim was Chairman of the Institute of Development Professionals in Education (IDPE) and in 2015 co-chaired the CASE Europe School’s Conference. In 2015 he took the lead in establishing an innovative, ground-breaking partnership between Headington School and one of the most prestigious high schools in China. Tim also has considerable experience in the state sector. He has been a Governor of two state schools in London, a primary school and an academy. Tim recently helped set up the London Oratory School Foundation to promote philanthropic support for the School. He is also working with Wilson’s School, a leading grammar school, to set up a pioneering fundraising programme.
