Bursar – Mount House School

North London

Mount House School is seeking to appoint a Bursar, a key role in supporting the consolidation and development of the School as the leading small co-educational senior school in the area.

Mount House School, a thriving and fast-growing independent co-educational day school for pupils aged 11 to 18, set in and around a Grade II listed mansion near Barnet in outer North London, is seeking a highly committed and well organised individual with strong multi-tasking and people skills to join the Senior Leadership Team as Bursar. This is a key role with leadership responsibility for all operational aspects of the School, including the management of financial, HR and all support services, as well as health, safety, security and compliance. Previous experience as a Bursar would be of benefit but not essential.

Established in 2017 as the successor to St Martha’s School for girls, Mount House is both ambitious and aspirational in its philosophy, with projected pupil numbers of 235 in September 2019 and an optimal target of 350. The School enjoys an excellent reputation for the strength of its academic and co-curricular provision within a family environment, and enjoys a strong financial base to support a continuous progressive programme of investment in its modern facilities and infrastructure.

This position offers an exciting opportunity for the right person to support the consolidation and development of the School as the leading small co-educational senior school in the area. A highly competitive remuneration package is available commensurate with the seniority of the post and the experience of the successful candidate.

The post is available from September 2019, but the actual start date is flexible for the successful candidate.
