Chair of Governors – Fairley House School
Founded in 1982, Fairley House School is a leading specialist day school in London for children with dyslexia and dyspraxia, with around 195 pupils on roll. The School is situated across two sites in Pimlico and Lambeth.
The Board are looking to appoint an outstanding Chair of Governors to succeed Adam Constable who is due to stand down having served the School since 2013.
Previous chairship and/or governor experience would be highly regarded, not necessarily in a school setting. The board contains a wealth of experience in Education and SEN and this is not a requirement of the Chair, however it is anticipated that the successful candidate is likely to have a passion for specialist education.
Interested candidates are invited to contact RSAcademics, by email or telephone, to arrange a confidential discussion with Stephen Nokes or Michael Stephens who are leading the process:
Michael Stephens: MichaelStephens@RSAcademics.com or 07834 520995; or
Stephen Nokes: SteveNokes@RSAcademics.com or 07500 869636
Those whose interest is taken further will be invited to meet with members of the Board and with the Head. All this can be handled in confidence and visits can be arranged to visit the School.
The School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be asked to apply to the Disclosure and Barring Service for an Enhanced Disclosure.
