Chair of Independent Schools Governing Body – The Foundation of the Schools of King Edward VI, Birmingham
The Foundation is seeking a new Chair to lead the Governing Body of its two Independent Schools (ISGB) - King Edward’s School for boys (KES), led by Chief Master, Dr Katy Ricks and King Edward’s VI High School for girls (KEHS), led by Principal, Kirsty von Malaisé.
This is an exciting time to take on this non-executive role as the city of Birmingham and the Schools emerge from the global pandemic, with the opportunity to work collaboratively with two exceptional, recently appointed Heads and a dynamic new CEO of the Foundation.
The Governors are seeking someone with the right blend of experience, authority and expertise to lead the good governance of these two Independent Schools in line with the Foundation’s mission: “To make Birmingham the best place to be educated in the UK.”
The Chair of the ISGB is also a member of the Foundation Board.
