Director of Development – The Godolphin & Latymer School

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who will embrace the challenge of expanding the Development team, embedding a culture of philanthropy within the Godolphin community, and creating a vibrant alumnae engagement programme for a forward-looking school.

The Godolphin and Latymer School is one of the country’s leading independent HMC and GSA day schools educating 800 girls aged between 11 and 18 years.  Recently awarded the 2019 Sunday Times London Independent Secondary School of the Year, these are exciting times for Godolphin and Latymer. Located a stone’s throw from Hammersmith Broadway in leafy West London, the school prides itself on achieving excellent academic results through a modern and forward-thinking approach to teaching and learning, alongside a broad range of extracurricular activities.

Philanthropy lies at the root of our school’s history, ethos and values and we are ambitious for our fundraising plans for the future. Building on an established individual giving and legacy support programme, the Development Office will be instrumental in growing a bursary fundraising campaign that will help to change the lives of talented girls from disadvantaged backgrounds. The team will also play a critical role in helping to generate significant income towards funding the School’s exciting plans to transform its campus.

We are looking to appoint an outstanding and inspirational Director of Development to create and spearhead a new plan that will grow fundraising income to record new levels. They will have a thorough understanding of fundraising and a track record of working with high net worth individuals. Importantly, the successful candidate will be a team player and strategic thinker, a great communicator, and will share our vision for the future of education at Godolphin and Latymer.

This is a senior appointment and the post-holder will report to the Head, Dr Frances Ramsey, and be a member of the School’s Senior Leadership Team.

The importance of the post is recognised in a very attractive remuneration package.
