Head – Bishopsgate School
The Governors of Bishopsgate School are seeking to appoint a new Head to succeed Mr Rob Williams, who will be leaving in July 2022 after seven years of highly successful leadership. The headship of Bishopsgate School is an exciting, challenging and rewarding role. Bishopsgate School, 160 years old and set in 20 glorious acres, is an extremely successful School offering an exceptional educational experience to over 370 pupils aged 3 to 13.
This is an opportunity to lead a School which aspires to operate at the forefront of prep and independent education with a major emphasis on the Pre-Senior Baccalaureate. Bishopsgate’s many strengths including size and scale, talented staff, strong finances, enviable market position, exceptional campus and facilities, and the sheer breadth of opportunities, provide a genuine launchpad to the pupils that is unique and wholly centred around the individual.
The School is exceptionally well resourced in all areas. Facilities include a state-of-the-art swimming pool and sports hall, theatre, music, art, computer facilities, DT and first-rate sports pitches. These strengths are matched by considerable aspiration and the School looks to its future with confidence and ambition.
The new Head will need to be an education expert with a clear understanding of what great teaching and learning looks like. They will embrace a child-centric approach to every decision and feel that it is a privilege to be entrusted with the responsibility of making every day for the children memorable and enjoyable.
Applications are warmly encouraged from experienced, successful Heads or Deputies, with the energy and drive to lead Bishopsgate into an exciting new chapter. For talented leaders who have a clear vision for outstanding 21st Century prep education, an appetite for innovation and the strategic leadership skills to shape the future of a forward-looking community, this is an extraordinary opportunity.
A highly competitive remuneration package, including family accommodation on site and generous fee remission for children, is available commensurate with the seniority of the post and the experience of the successful candidate.
The closing date for applications is 7 June 2021 at 10:00am (UK)
