THE DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS HAS NOW PASSED.
The Governors are looking for an inspirational leader who is in tune with Channing’s distinctive ethos and is committed to the opportunities which this all-girls school offers.
Channing School is a top performing academic girls’ day school in North London. With a unique ethos, rooted in its Unitarian heritage, girls are encouraged to achieve and enjoy success in a warm and supportive community. There are 965 pupils aged 4-18 on the roll at the School, which is located on either side of Highgate Hill. In the fast-paced life of the capital, Channing offers a calm oasis where scholarship and academic achievement are highly valued. Public exam results are consistently excellent but achieved without undue pressure and in an environment which offers a broad and balanced Education.
Mrs Barbara Elliott is retiring in Summer 2020 after 15 years of transformative leadership. During her time at the helm, pupil numbers have grown and the site has been redeveloped to create a modern and exciting learning environment with stunning, up-to-date facilities.
The successful candidate will have dynamic leadership skills, a passion for scholarship, a commitment to delivering an excellent academic and pastoral education, well-honed listening and communication skills and the ability to maintain a nurturing and happy community.
