Head – Hampton Court House
South West London
THE DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS HAS NOW PASSED.
Hampton Court House, or ‘HCH’ as it is popularly known, is an independent co-educational day school that first opened in 2001. It is an ‘all through’ school accepting and educating children all the way from Nursery (3 years old) to Year 13 (18 years). There are 300 pupils at the school - including around 40 in the Sixth Form which opened in September 2015.
From: September 2021
Hampton Court House is distinct and innovative, a UNESCO associate school with a strong commitment to foreign language teaching from an early age. The School is also strongly outward looking in other ways that are reflected throughout its curriculum, teaching methods and activities on offer.
The School takes its name from its main building, Hampton Court House, which is an elegant Grade II listed 18th-century Georgian mansion house set in eight acres of historic private gardens. It lies up a driveway that fronts onto Hampton Court Green, adjacent to Hampton Court Palace and on the edge of Bushy Park in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames.
The current head, and a co-founder of Hampton Court House, is stepping down after nearly 20 years of outstanding leadership of the School. During this time, he has been a driving force in establishing and growing what is a highly successful school. The School is now seeking a new and inspirational leader to build on his success and take the School forward in its next phase.
Already in a senior leadership position, you will have an excellent track record in education which demonstrates your commitment to the distinctive ethos of Hampton Court House and your ability to work collaboratively to fulfil the School’s aims. A confident networker, you will be able to contribute to the national debate on educational issues, to market the School effectively in a highly competitive marketplace and to raise the School’s profile both locally and nationally. An entrepreneurial and agile strategic thinker, with a keen head for the business aspects of the School, you will also be able to provide an ambitious and realistic vision for the future growth and development of Hampton Court House.
