Manchester High School for Girls is one of the leading independent girls’ day schools in the country. It is a selective, academic, 4-18 school with over 900 pupils and received The Sunday Times 2019 North West Independent Secondary School of the Year Award.
The Governors of Manchester High School for Girls are seeking to appoint a new Head from September 2020, when Claire Hewitt, who has been in the role since 2009, retires. Governors will appoint an exceptional individual who will build on Claire’s outstanding leadership, which has seen the School grow in numbers, vision and reputation.
