Head of Nursery – Hurlingham School
THE DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS HAS NOW PASSED.
An exciting opportunity is available at Hurlingham School, a popular and well-respected co-educational, non-selective IAPS independent school in Putney, which is now searching its next Head of Nursery to start September 2020.
The successful candidate will be an experienced and passionate practitioner, keen to maintain and develop the very best in the education and childcare of up to 120 children aged between two and four. They will be excited by the considerable autonomy available in the role, whilst benefiting from the expertise and support of Hurlingham School (350 children aged four to eleven) of which it is a part. The Head of Nursery sits on the Senior Leadership Team of the whole school and there are particularly close links between the Pre-School and Reception year groups. Key teaching resources and strategies, especially those covering the Early Learning Goals, are developed and shared in a mutually-beneficial professional partnership. All pupils who attend the nursery setting are guaranteed an offer of a place at the main site.
Hurlingham’s Nursery has recently benefited from a complete redesign and refurbishment to keep it at the forefront of educational thinking and provide an excellent and appropriate environment for this age group – indoor spaces were transformed in 2018 and outside playgrounds in 2019.
The School is offering a generous remuneration package to reflect the requirement to work all school terms and for at least 15 days each academic year during holiday periods. For anyone wishing to work additional days during school holidays further pro-rata payments will be made.
Enthusiastic applicants, keen to further develop Hurlingham Nursery, where there is considerable potential to create excellence in the early development of each and every child are warmly invited to get in touch.
The closing date for applications is noon on Friday 6th March 2020
