Principal – Denla British School (Bangkok)
THE DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS HAS NOW PASSED.
For August 2021
Applications are welcome for the Principal of Denla British School.
Denla British School opened for Pre-school to Year 6 in August 2017, on a modern and spacious campus in the suburbs of Bangkok. This academic year, the School extended to Year 10, and will graduate its first Year 13 students in June 2024. It is expected that 70% of the graduating students will pursue their higher education at top universities in the UK, USA and Australia. The remainder will continue their studies at universities in Thailand. There are currently 450 students, building towards a capacity of 1600.
Under the leadership of the current Principal, Mr Mark McVeigh (formerly Deputy Head of Marlborough College, Malaysia and previously Housemaster, Marlborough College, UK), Denla British School, with its reputation for academic excellence and an emphasis on personal development, has already established itself as one of the leading British Curriculum schools in Bangkok. The School has a distinctive vision, based on the philosophy of UK independent schools that offer a holistic education, and an inspirational teaching body, the majority of whom are British, many having worked in the UK independent sector. There is exceptional student commitment and parental engagement.
The successful candidate will be well supported by an aspirational School Board and will have ultimate responsibility for implementing an exciting strategy, that includes the introduction of A levels, the creation of the 6th Form, expansion of the academic and co-curricular programme and further development of the facilities. The position provides an extraordinary opportunity for someone who has the drive, energy and commitment to fulfil the Board’s ambition of making Denla British School the pre-eminent school in Thailand. Rarely do opportunities of this kind arise.
A very competitive salary and benefits package will be offered.
