St Helen and St Katharine – Head of Development

Abingdon, Oxfordshire

St Helen’s is seeking an experienced fundraising professional to take up the role of Head of Development to help take the School’s philanthropy activities to the next level.

St Helen and St Katharine is a thriving community of 730 students aged 9 to 18 years. St Helen’s offers students an outstanding academic education and a rich and varied life beyond the classroom, including excellence in sport, the creative and performing arts and a superb range of extracurricular clubs and societies. The School is located on a single campus-style site of beautiful Edwardian and modern buildings set in 22 acres of grounds, on the outskirts of Abingdon, some six miles from Oxford.

Reporting to the Director of Communications and Marketing, the Head of Development will work closely with the Headmistress. The main focus of this new role will be building a programme of philanthropy in support of the school’s ambitious bursary programme so helping the School achieve its strategic goals and sustain its core values.

This is an exciting opportunity suited either to a fundraising professional currently outside education, or an individual already in the education sector, looking to develop their career in the sphere of educational fundraising.
