Wisbech Grammar School – Deputy Head Academic
Required for September 2021 (HMC; IAPS)
Wisbech Grammar School (WGS) is a successful, independent co-educational school located near the centre of the historic town of Wisbech in Cambridgeshire on a green site of 44 acres beside the River Nene. The School offers a broad, high-quality education with excellent pastoral care for around 590 children aged 3-18. It is a day school but, in recent years, has started to take a limited number of boarders, mainly from the Far East.
Wisbech Grammar School has a long tradition of developing individual talent and encouraging high aspirations. The school is innovative and forward-looking, combining a strong focus on academic excellence with a rich co-curricular programme to enable pupils to ‘discover who they are’ and unlock their potential in a school with a strong sense of community.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a high-performing, experienced and ambitious teaching professional to be a key part of the senior team. The successful candidate will have the strategic vision, drive and energy to help develop the academic life of the school, and ensure the learning environment is one in which all pupils will thrive.
