Rebecca Ting
Senior Consultant
Rebecca is a Senior Consultant at RSAcademics in both the Consultancy Services and Appointments teams. Specialising in educational fundraising and alumni engagement, she works with schools to build sustainable philanthropic programmes, strengthen donor relationships and develop strategies that reflect their values and ambitions.
Rebecca’s experience includes senior appointments in development where schools seek leaders who can build trust with donors and align fundraising with the school’s purpose. She helps schools think clearly about the leadership qualities they need and how these support long-term resilience. Her guidance gives panels confidence as they explore each candidate’s approach.
Rebecca has spent her entire career in educational development, beginning as a telephone campaign caller at the University of Oxford before working across several college development offices. She later moved into the schools’ sector, serving as Director of Development at St Edward’s, Oxford, where she led fundraising for capital projects and the school’s 150th anniversary campaign. During this time, she also sat on an advisory board to the £3.3bn Oxford Thinking Campaign, focusing on young alumni and participation-level giving.
At Cheltenham Ladies’ College, Rebecca spent six years as Director of Development and Alumnae Relations, delivering a successful Covid fund, embedding long-term fundraising structures and expanding the bursary programme through donor engagement.
Rebecca served on the IDPE board for six years, including as Vice Chair, leading the first sector membership survey and early benchmarking reports. She has spoken at sector conferences, delivered the IDPE Essential Development Toolkit and trained GSA Heads in development.
Rebecca is a graduate of Exeter College, Oxford.
