Liz Francis
Senior Advisor
Liz is a Senior Advisor in the Appointments Team at RSAcademics. She works with schools across the UK and internationally to recruit senior leaders, guiding boards through each stage of the process with insight, skill and strategic understanding. Liz brings a broad perspective from her leadership roles in government, local authority and independent education, helping governors shape leadership briefs and assess and differentiate between candidates, leading to confident decisions.
Before joining RSAcademics, Liz was Director of Education at the Alpha Plus Group, supporting 20 schools and colleges on academic and pastoral matters, leading work on mental health and wellbeing, and playing a key role in senior appointments. She previously held senior posts at the Department for Education, the Training and Development Agency for Schools, and the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority. Earlier in her career, Liz was a senior education adviser for Suffolk County Council and began as a teacher after completing a degree in English and American Literature and a PGCE.
Liz is an independent safeguarding governor for CATS Global Schools and a trustee of the Woodard Corporation. She is also a judge for the English Speaking Union.
