The Governors of De La Salle College, Jersey, are seeking to appoint a Headteacher.

The Governors of De La Salle College, Jersey, are seeking to appoint a Headteacher. This is a new role, created at an exciting time for the College as it implements and further develops its ambitious vision which includes the merging of the Primary and Secondary schools. The successful candidate will lead the day-to-day operations of the School and will work closely with the Head of College/ CEO to implement the strategic goals of the College.

This appointment is a great opportunity for the right individual to make a lasting impact on the College. The new Headteacher will embrace the College’s aims of empowering young men through its strong Catholic ethos and Lasallian values, leading them on an educational journey which is distinctive and allows them to be successful in their own lives.

First class communication skills, an ability to plan and implement strategy, strong people skills and a passion for education are essential for this role. The successful applicant will be a clear communicator, able to translate vision into outcomes and able to bring out the best in others. S/he will need to be a practicing Catholic in full communion with the Church.

Key Dates

The deadline for receipt of the application is 10.00am on Thursday 13 November 2025 . Applications for this role will be considered ahead of the closing date. Candidates are therefore encouraged to submit their applications at the earliest opportunity.

For those candidates selected for a preliminary interview with RSAcademics, these will take place via Teams before Friday 21 November 2025.

Longlist interviews with the Governors’ panel will take place via Teams on Friday 28 November 2025.

Candidates who are shortlisted for final interviews will be required to undertake a personality test with a professional consultant.

On Thursday 11 December 2025, shortlisted candidates will be invited to visit the school for a familiarisation visit and to meet Mr Turner informally. 

Shortlist interviews with the Governing Body will take place at the school on Friday 12 December 2025 .
