Kent College West Cairo is one of the most ambitious new schools in Egypt. This is an exceptional opportunity to lead the school at a critical moment in its development.

For August 2027

Kent College West Cairo was founded in 2022 as a partnership between Sagah Investments and Kent College Canterbury. Its ambition is to become one of the leading international schools in Egypt. The school is located in dynamic and fast-developing West Cairo but is grounded in the educational philosophy, pastoral approach and values that have shaped Kent College Canterbury for 140 years.

The school is committed to high academic standards and outcomes and to being an authentic reflection of Kent College’s values and ethos and its inclusive approach. This means a genuinely holistic education, a commitment to each child thriving, a focus on student wellbeing, and a broad view of preparing students for a rapidly changing world. Kent College West Cairo’s developing culture reflects its pride in its Egyptian context and its commitment to the values, behaviours and attitudes that characterise Kent College Canterbury.

The school follows the UK curriculum and has impressive facilities, including a Senior School building and sports centre that opened in September 2026. The two partners in the school work extremely closely, and the Head will operate in a tight-knit team with the Chairman and CEO and the Executive Director of Operations, while maintaining close contact with the Head and International Director of Kent College in the UK.

Kent College West Cairo is within the O West residential development, one of Cairo’s most significant new developments. That development will continue to be an important catchment, but as the school expands towards its capacity of 1,500 students, it will need to draw in students from neighbouring areas. Growing the student numbers will be an important priority for the new Head.

The position will suit an experienced senior leader who can align with and be visionary in delivering the ambition of the owners and Kent College. They should be able to inspire students, families and staff, be dedicated to high academic standards in a healthy and inclusive school culture, committed to effective parental engagement, and enthusiastic about building a strong external profile to support the school’s growth.

The ambition to make Kent College West Cairo one of the leading international schools in Egypt and the supportive working relationship of the two partners make this a magnificent opportunity for the right candidate.
