Bob Griffin

Senior Advisor

Bob is a Senior Adviser in the Appointments Team at RSAcademics. He works with schools across the UK and internationally to recruit senior leaders, steering boards through each stage of the process to achieve an excellent and exciting outcome. Since joining RSAcademics, Bob has advised on numerous high-profile appointments, including Chair of Governors, Chief Executives, Senior and Prep School Heads, and Deputy Heads. Drawing on his extensive leadership experience, Bob helps governors shape leadership briefs, assess candidates with rigour and make confident decisions.  

Before joining RSAcademics, Bob was Head of Exeter School for 17 years, leading a co-educational day school for pupils aged 7–18. Prior to this, he served as Senior Deputy Head at The Royal Grammar School, Guildford and was Head of Modern Languages at Haileybury College. He began his teaching career at Markham College in Lima, Peru, following a Modern Languages degree at Christ Church, Oxford and a PGCE from the University of York. 

Bob is a trained ISI inspector and has led accreditation inspections for HMC schools both in the UK and overseas. He has mentored several Heads and has been a governor at Truro School since 2017. His experience in senior leadership recruitment, leadership development, inspection and governance enables him to give outstandingly important and valuable advice as he steers each process.
