Diana Watkins
Senior Advisor
Diana served as a Head for 22 years with a career in education which spanned the maintained and independent sectors across all age ranges, from a non-selective city comprehensive to headship of a prestigious prep day and boarding school in Salisbury’s Cathedral Close.
Diana joined RSAcademics in 2013 as a Senior Advisor, working on leadership appointments and assisting with appraisals and the executive coaching and mentoring of Heads and School Leadership teams. One of our most-experienced Senior Advisors, Diana has worked on leadership appointments with many prep schools including Westminster Abbey Choir School, Glendower, Cumnor House School, St Andrew’s Turi, Kenya, Twyford and St Paul’s Cathedral School and St John’s College Prep School, Cambridge.
As a former Chairman of IAPS, Diana visited schools across the UK, Kenya, Australia and the USA. Diana’s educational work has included advising boards and proprietors in various prep schools and employees of Goldman Sachs in London. She has also acted as mediator and advocate for parents and schools during dispute resolution processes.
Diana is a former Governor of Perrott Hill School, Port Regis School and The Hall in Hampstead, and is currently on the Board of Advisors for Hurlingham School, Putney. She has undertaken school inspections for the ISI.
During her teaching career, Diana specialised in the power of the creative arts to build language and literacy, gaining a Distinction in her Masters degree on the subject. She is currently completing the Certificate in Executive Coaching and Mentoring ILM Level 7.
