Jonathan Barnes

Jonathan is Head of Operations in the Leadership Appointments team at RSAcademics, where he leads a team of project managers to ensure every search runs smoothly and efficiently. Since joining RSAcademics, Jonathan has overseen a wide range of senior appointments, supporting clients and candidates through each stage of the process.  

Before joining RSAcademics, Jonathan completed an English degree at the University of Hull before joining the Home Office, where he worked as an Immigration Officer, Entry Clearance Officer and a staff trainer for several years. He then transferred to a Private Office role, managing visits and events for the department and its ministers. 

This background prepared Jonathan for the detailed and diligent approach to project management and consummate efficiency which is required by his team at RSAcademics. With charm and good humour, calmness and commitment to excellence, Jonathan ensures every project is delivered on time, with clients and candidates deeply appreciative of his work.
