Jonathan Barnes

Jonathan was educated at Elmhurst School and Trinity School in Croydon, before completing an English degree at the University of Hull. He then joined the Home Office, where he worked as an Immigration Officer, Entry Clearance Officer and a staff trainer for several years, before shifting to a Private Office role, managing visits and events for the department and its ministers.

In 2011, Jonathan won a scholarship to complete a Musical Theatre course at the American Musical Theatre Academy of London. He then worked as a professional actor and singer for several years, before joining his family to live in Market Harborough, to where they had relocated in 2012.

Jonathan was delighted to join RSAcademics permanently in early 2015 and became Head of Operations, Leadership Appointments in 2020.

Based in RSAcademics’ head office, the Operations team ensure every aspect of the appointment process works smoothly and efficiently. A dedicated member of the Operations team is allocated to each assignment to provide full support to the client, the candidates and the RSAcademics Search Consultant and Senior Advisor, ensuring excellent communication, administration and project coordination. Jonathan leads the team, which has grown in line with the expansion of the Appointments division of the company.
