Lucy Robins

Lucy has 18 years’ experience as a Bursar in independent day and boarding senior and prep schools but started her career as a chartered surveyor specialising in planning and development. After eight years with a leading international practice advising commercial and public sector clients, she joined the Ministry of Defence leading teams disposing of high-profile redundant military sites and managing estate rationalisation projects.

In 2004 Lucy joined Leweston School and in 2009 took up the post as Bursar and Clerk to the Governors of Sherborne School where she stayed for 11 years. She has extensive experience across all the bursarial and operational functions including strategy, finance, charity and legal, human resources, commercial income generation, estates and health and safety. At Sherborne she oversaw the commercial relationship with Sherborne Qatar and having been Bursar of  Sherborne’s UK school for international students, she an in-depth understanding of the overseas market.

Lucy is a Governor of Pinewood School having stepped in at short notice as Interim Bursar in 2021 and supporting the Governors on a new permanent appointment alongside RSAcademics as advisors.
