Principal – Nexus International School (Singapore)

Singapore

From August 2026

An experienced and innovative Principal is sought to lead one of Singapore’s most distinctive premium international schools into the next phase of its development, following the successful tenure of outgoing Principal Simon Mann.

Nexus International School (Singapore) is an empowering, learning-focused community. We strive to create an honest, open and innovative community with our learners, parents and peers.

We are part of Taylor’s Education Group, one of the most significant education groups in Southeast Asia. We are a private, co-educational international IB World School catering for learners aged 3-18. The school enrolled its first learners in July 2011 and, following eight years of rapid growth, we moved to an iconic purpose-built campus in central Singapore in January 2020. Designed by educators, our new campus offers flexible and innovative learning spaces that support learner agency and enhance the learning experience.

Nexus Singapore’s rapid growth trajectory is set to continue: we currently cater to 1,600 learners representing 60 different nationalities, and we expect to reach our capacity of 2,000 learners in the next couple of years. This is therefore an exciting opportunity to lead and continue to shape a school that is fast becoming one of Singapore’s leading educational institutions.

The next Principal will continue to develop our school as a thriving, forward-thinking learning community. They will work with the wider Taylor’s Family to embed the Taylor’s approach to education and the distinctive Nexus International Schools blend of innovation and excellence. The ‘Nexus Way’ is learner-focused with an emphasis on technology to enhance learning and creativity alongside entrepreneurship, the development of critical thinking, and support for learners to understand themselves and the world around them. Nexus Singapore aims to create students who are confident communicators, collaborators and problem-solvers and are prepared for the challenges of the world they will enter.

The successful candidate will be an educator with a commitment to excellence in an inclusive, diverse and holistic environment and a keen interest in innovation and contemporary ideas in education. With the operations of the new campus now established, the Principal will have a real opportunity to focus on teaching and learning and to strengthen further the reputation of Nexus within Singapore. They will combine a track record of highly successful leadership in large school settings with cultural awareness, political nous and a global perspective to inspire the entire Nexus Singapore community. First-class communication skills with the gravitas to act as a visible leader and ambassador are crucial, as is a genuine resonance with the IB and an authentic commitment to the mission, vision and core values of Nexus.
