Education Director – SPGS International

This is a new, high-profile and fascinating role that will shape the education offered across a growing international network, and assure its quality and alignment with the standards and principles for which St Paul’s Girls’ School is well known.

SPGS International, a wholly owned subsidiary of St Paul’s Girls’ School, has established a school and a learning programme in China, and a school in Bangkok will open later in 2026. Further schools are at various stages of planning. SPGS International’s approach is to take great care in identifying potential partners and opportunities – seeking those that are appropriate for the local market but where there will also be an understanding of what it takes to operate authentically as a SPGS school.

The SPGS International team is headed by Sara Brazendale, who works closely with the High Mistress and senior leadership of the UK school. The team has been thoughtfully assembled to ensure that new opportunities can be assessed and supported to become the group’s future schools. The Education Director will add significant capacity and educational expertise and experience to this team.

Based at St Paul’s Girls’ School in London, but with frequent international travel and some flexibility possible around working arrangements, the Education Director will work especially closely with the Heads and leadership teams of the international schools. They will uphold and promote SPGS’s academic ethos across the international network, providing a mix of thoughtful support, constructive challenge and strategic guidance. The Education Director will play a key role in strengthening teaching and learning, pastoral care and safeguarding, and cocurricular provision, and contribute to the recruitment, development and growth of staff and future leaders across the network. He or she will also facilitate collaboration between the schools and ensure that the academic approach of the international schools is well understood in the UK school.

The role will suit a senior leader with experience both internationally and of British independent education. Candidates should be solutions-focused, open-minded, culturally curious, enthusiastic about adapting a SPGS education to very different cultural contexts, and with the capacity and self-starter mindset to make a new role work. They will have the credibility to work effectively with Heads and senior leaders, and they will be comfortable with international travel, not least using time in a country to start understanding its culture and what that means for the success of a SPGS international school.

The role comes with a competitive salary and the benefits associated with a senior leadership role at St Paul’s Girls’ School. SPGS International is seeking to fill this new role as soon as is practicable.

Further details about the role is available in the candidate information. For an initial, confidential conversation about the role, please contact Jean Sullivan (jeansullivan@rsacademics.com) (including a copy of your CV/resumé if you have not recently been in contact with RSAcademics).

The closing date for applications is Tuesday 2 June 2026 at 10:00 (UK).

To apply, candidates should complete an application form and submit it electronically to RSAcademics, together with a letter of application and CV/résumé. Details of how to apply and about the letter of application are in the candidate information. St Paul’s Girls’ School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, and applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). We expect all staff to share this commitment.

St Paul’s Girls’ School is a “registered body” under the Police Act 1997 because employment here involves access to children under the age of 18. This post will require an enhanced DBS check from the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly Criminal Records Bureau) before we can confirm an offer of employment. Unless you are a member of the DBS Update Service you will need to apply for a new disclosure, even if you already hold one. Former members of staff who are not on the Update Service who re-join us also require fresh disclosures, unless less than three months have passed between their leaving and their re-employment date. If you have lived or worked abroad for a period of 3 months or more during the past ten years you will also need to provide appropriate paperwork, such as a police certificate of good conduct, from the countries you have lived in.

St Paul’s Girls’ School welcomes applications from all sectors of the community as we aspire to attract staff that match the social and cultural diversity of our pupil intake. We seek to offer fair and inclusive employment policies, interview and arrangements that avoid bias and support all applicants and staff equally.

RSAcademics is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and to promoting diversity and inclusion in schools.

Academic Principal – HD Ningbo

The group is leading the way in what it believes to be a vital and exciting educational project: cultivating globally-fluent Chinese who lead, innovate and impact.

HD Schools is respectful of the need for academic rigour, but also recognises that education is broader than this: so it provides opportunities for students to develop new skills and interests outside the core academic curriculum in a happy, creative environment where critical thinking is nurtured. HD Schools offers a broad, balanced, and caring approach to character development.

The Academic Principal of HD Ningbo High School will serve as the school’s academic leader, shaping curriculum across IGCSE, A‑Level, and AP pathways while ensuring rigorous, engaging learning for every student. Working closely with the Secondary Principal and key academic teams, the role oversees teacher development, classroom observation, and evaluation to build a shared understanding of excellent teaching and a coherent professional learning culture. This will require clear vision, excellent communication and outstanding listening skills. It will also demand considerable technical ability, since the Academic Principal monitors student progress, strengthens core skills, ensures meaningful assessment, and leads scheduling, academic planning, and resource management. Empathetic collaboration with coordinators, counsellors, parents, and subject heads is central to creating an aligned, student‑centred environment that reflects the school’s mission and supports strong academic outcomes.

The role will suit a kind, charismatic leader with appropriate expertise in academic leadership, and a passion for HD Schools’ belief in innovative, bilingual-bicultural education.

For an initial, confidential conversation about the role, please contact Hannah Green (hannahgreen@rsacademics.com) including a copy of your CV/resume.

Closing date: This is a rolling process, and applications will be considered as they arrive. Early applications are therefore encouraged.

To apply, candidates should complete an application form electronically and submit it to RSAcademics, together with a letter of application, CV/résumé and international data sharing agreement. Head of Primary – British Section, Lycée International Paris

The British Section is the largest of the fourteen international sections within the Lycée International, one of France’s most successful schools, situated 25km west of Paris in Saint-Germain-en-Laye. The British Section has 840 students across Primary and Secondary and is a vibrant, supportive and inclusive community. It is governed as a separate non-profit association within the wider Lycée International structure. The new Head of Primary will succeed Susan Woodward, who is retiring after 14 years of dedicated service.

Leading within such a unique structure requires care, creativity and, perhaps above all, adaptability. British Section students are either full-time students of the Lycée International and partner schools – admitted through the Section but spending only part of their time learning within it – or externé students, joining the British Section from their local French school for two-half days per week. Time in the British Section is focused on English language and literature and some history and geography. However, it is much more than that: British Section students and their families treat the Section as their home and they identity with it. Continuing to foster a sense of community and belonging will be an important priority for the Head of Primary.

Under the leadership of James Cathcart, the British Section has established an outstanding reputation for delivering British and anglophone elements of a bilingual and bicultural education. The Section plays an influential role within the Lycée International and beyond, in British education in France, and in bilingual schools more generally. There is potential to do more and the Section’s vision includes a commitment to the Lycée becoming a laboratoire of international educational research. As part of the British Section’s Senior Leadership Team, the new Head of Primary must be enthusiastic about finding ways for the Section, and for Primary in particular, to become even more innovative and influential.

The role requires a combination of pedagogical, strategic and community leadership. The Head of Primary will require the experience to deliver this, but they also should have the confidence, flexibility and humility to understand the context, appreciating where their experience is not relevant as much as where it is. As the Section further develops, the new Head will also need to support the Primary team through change. They will work in close partnership with the Director, other members of the Senior Leadership, senior leaders within the French partner schools, and leaders and teachers elsewhere within the Lycée, as well as with a diverse community of families.

The role will suit a candidate who is attracted by the challenge of a very different educational environment, but one that is characterised by high ambition. The Head of Primary will need to be creative and visionary, but also hands-on and very present in the day-to-day life of the Section. They will be enthusiastic about keeping abreast of latest educational thinking, but discriminating in understanding what will work best in the British Section’s distinctive context. They should also be comfortable leading a small team while recognising that the potential for influence and impact is far greater than with most teams of a similar size. Proficiency in French would be a significant advantage; a commitment to learning French is a minimum expectation.

The position is available from August 2026, but for the right candidate, a January start may be possible.

Further details about the role is available in the candidate information.

For an initial, confidential conversation about the role, please contact Jean Sullivan (jeansullivan@rsacademics.com).

Closing date:  Applications for this role will be considered as they are received. Candidates are therefore encouraged to submit their applications at the earliest opportunity.

Head of College – Brighton College Al Ain

The school was named 2025-26 British International School of the Year, and this is an exceptional opportunity to lead it through its next stage of development.

Brighton College in the UK is consistently regarded
as one of the country’s leading independent schools – ‘School of the Decade’ according to The Sunday Times – and Brighton College Al Ain is part of the Brighton College International (BCI) group. BCI is committed to ensuring that all its international schools are authentic representations of Brighton College’s distinctive blend of academic, pastoral and co-curricular provision,
and that the Brighton pillars of Curiosity, Confidence and Kindness are at their heart. BCI also fosters collaboration and a spirit of partnership across the group.

The three Brighton College international schools in the UAE – in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Dubai – are the result
of a highly successful partnership between Brighton College and Bloom Education. Al Ain – ‘the Garden City’ – is the biggest inland city in the UAE, close to the border with Oman and part of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. Brighton College Al Ain is a British curriculum school of c.1,000 pupils, situated on a beautiful 28-acre campus with impressive state-of-the-art facilities. The school is co-educational in the Pre-Prep, Prep School and Sixth Form, with single-gender learning in Years 6-11. Approximately 60% of the pupils are Emirati.

The Head of Brighton College Al Ain reports to a Board comprising representatives of Brighton College UK, Bloom Holdings and Bloom Education. On a day-to-day basis, the Head is accountable to the General Manager of Bloom Education for the educational and commercial operations of the school and its alignment with the inspection and regulatory frameworks of ADEK, Abu Dhabi’s Department of Education and Knowledge.

The next Head of College will ideally be a serving Head/Principal with experience in both the UAE and in highly-regarded British or British international schools. It is vital that the Head appreciates the importance of the inspection framework and has the experience to position Brighton College Al Ain securely as an outstanding school. They will also need to be creative and visionary in responding to Al Ain’s changing demographics and educational landscape. And they must be enthusiastic about strengthening Brighton College Al Ain’s approach to inclusion within a premium school environment.

There will be plenty of challenges and opportunities for the new Head of College as Brighton College Al Ain enters its next phase. The successful candidate will need a balance of skills: committed to excellence and clear-sighted in identifying and addressing areas for improvement; depth of thinking to blend the distinctive Al Ain context and the Brighton College approach; gravitas, credibility and excellent communication skills to reassure parents and other stakeholders; and the commercial and political instincts to strengthen further the school’s market position. Like all Brighton College Heads, they will be expected to lead with authenticity, purpose and a deep-seated commitment to the progress and development of each and every pupil within their school.

For the right candidate, this will be an outstanding opportunity. It represents the chance to build on the school’s success and make it stand out in the UAE, the wider Middle East and the Brighton College International group – a school distinguished by its location but representing the very best traditions of a Brighton College education.

The appointment is for August 2026, but for an exceptional candidate, January 2027 may be possible. The position comes with a competitive package including medical cover, flights, housing and school places.

Director – North London Collegiate School (Singapore)

NLCS (Singapore) opened in 2020 and has rapidly established itself within the premium school sector in Singapore. It provides an exceptional educational experience based on the traditions, ethos and practices of NLCS in the UK, interpreted for the distinctive context of Singapore. It is a Pre K-12 co-educational day school offering the IB MYP and DP. There are currently 1,400 students on roll.

North London Collegiate School (UK) was founded in 1850, has a pioneering tradition in girls’ education, and is now consistently rated as one of the highest achieving schools in the UK, and the world. More recently that pioneering spirit has been taken up by its international schools – NLCS Jeju, NLCS Dubai, NLCS (Singapore), NLCS Kobe and, forthcoming, NLCS Hong Kong.

The aim of all the NLCS international schools is to take the UK school’s 175-year legacy and make it relevant for their local context. NLCS International is active in ensuring that all the schools are authentic representations of NLCS in the UK – balancing academic excellence, holistic education, exceptional wellbeing provision, and innovation – and in fostering close links across the schools. In Singapore and Dubai, NLCS’s partner is Meraki Education, a well-established school operator with significant experience in the two markets.

The new Director will be an experienced Head of School, who will come with a strong track record of success, gravitas and credibility, a deep sense of cultural awareness and curiosity, and an ability to build a culture of care and trust. The school has an experienced leadership team and it will be the task of the Director to guide, empower and mentor those leaders. The Director will maintain strategic oversight and, working with Meraki Education and NLCS International, further develop the understanding of what it is to be an NLCS school in Singapore. The Director will also be the face of the school in Singapore and must be equally comfortable with the outwards and inwards-facing aspects of their role.

The Director will require experience in schools of 1,000-plus students internationally, ideally including time spent in a for-profit environment. They will be visionary, strategic and ambitious in their outlook, have strong commercial acumen, and be able to embody both the traditions and the innovation existing within an NLCS education. They will be enthusiastic about leading an experienced and high quality team, balancing autonomy and agency with strengthening cohesion across the school. This is an outstanding opportunity; for the successful candidate, it could well be a chance to draw together experience from across their career and make a significant difference as NLCS (Singapore) moves into its next phase of development.

Ideally, the new Director will take up position in August 2026.

Rettore (Head of College) – UWC Adriatic

Preferred Starting Date From August 2026

UWC Adriatic is home to almost 200 students aged 16-19 and representing 78 nationalities.

UWC (United World Colleges) is a global educational movement of 18 schools and colleges joined by a common mission to make education a force to unite people, nations and cultures for peace and a sustainable future. UWC Adriatic was founded in 1982 and has a proud history as the first United World College in mainland Europe.

UWC Adriatic forms an integral part of the picturesque village of Duino, a short distance from the historic port city of Trieste. It is a private, non-profit institution but receives a significant proportion of its funding from public sources, reflecting the esteem in which the College is held regionally and nationally, and opening opportunities to make an impact. UWC Adriatic is committed to the idea of a holistic education that brings together the academic rigour of the IB Diploma, an extensive extracurricular programme and a strong emphasis on service, compassion and personal responsibility. More than 70% of the College’s students are on full scholarships, resulting in a truly diverse school community both culturally and socio-economically, in line with UWC’s approach of placing deliberate diversity at the heart of its transformative educational model. Since its foundation, the College has taken many students from Central, Eastern and South-eastern Europe and now has a wider Mediterranean and Middle Eastern emphasis; a significant number of students are refugees or from crisis-affected communities.

The UWC Adriatic President and Board now seek a talented and highly motivated Rettore (Head) to succeed Dr. Khalid El-Metaal, who has successfully led and served for four years, leading the College out of the Covid-19 pandemic and building foundations for exciting future initiatives.

The new Rettore will have a track record of effective senior leadership and a sound understanding of the nature of leadership in a residential school context. Principal – The Perse School (Singapore)

After an extraordinarily successful opening year, The Perse School (Singapore) is looking for a Principal to lead this fast-growing, values-driven 3-18 school (currently going up to Year 10), and establish its position in the vanguard of Singapore international education.

With Futuris (the K12 platform which owns and operates The Perse School (Singapore)) exploring new international opportunities, current Principal Ms. Lynne Oldfield will assume the role of Executive Principal, hence the need for a new Principal to run the Singapore campus.

With a Cambridge legacy of over 400 years, The Perse School in Cambridge ranks among the top ten UK British independent schools. The Singapore campus, for which it provides quality assurance, opened just over a year ago in January 2025, and with 800 pupils already on the roll, it can lay claim to being the most successful Singapore opening in over a decade. Current approved capacity is 1,400 due to traffic restrictions, but a future roll of 1,800-2,000 is possible based on local market practice and track record.

The Perse School (Singapore) seeks to offer a premium education at a very competitive price point, offering a rich pupil experience, but without ostentation or extravagance. Parents have responded extremely well to this offer. Pupils experience the Cambridge International Curriculum in Early Years, Primary and Lower Secondary before embarking on IGCSE and International A-levels. There is a focus on core subjects like Mathematics, English, Science, Languages, and Digital Literacy, enhanced by future-focused areas such as Global Perspectives, Coding, Entrepreneurship, and Sustainability. Extra-curricular programmes are rich and diverse. The carefully curated Bukit Timah campus is surrounded by nature reserves but is only 20-30 minutes from the CBD.

The successful candidate is likely to be a sitting Principal with demonstrable experience of and passion for academic excellence. (It is unlikely that the new appointee will currently be in a pastoral role). The Principal will not be burdened by business or operational matters, and they should relish the opportunity to focus on the success and happiness of the young people in their care. They should embrace The Perse values, commit to academic excellence, offer a warm, collaborative approach to leadership, and bring passion to a prestigious project that has enjoyed such a successful start. The successful candidate should also be able to show a track record of managing rapid enrolment growth and a continuous improvement mindset.

Compensation will be competitive with an attractive performance driven incentive package.

Interested candidates are invited to contact Hannah Green, International Appointments Consultant, at hannahgreen@rsacademics.com for an initial confidential discussion, including a copy of your CV/resume.

The letter should explain the attractions of the role, the relevance of your experience and your education philosophy, and other information that can demonstrate your alignment with the role. Please make your letter as specific as you can, addressing the role, The Perse approach and the opportunities presented by The Perse. A letter that is largely generic may result in your application not being considered.

Applications will be reviewed as they are received and candidates are encouraged to submit their applications as early as they are able.

Director of Academic and Professional Excellence – Network International School, Myanmar

Founded in 1996 in Yangon, Myanmar, Network International School is the first school to be accredited by BSO in Myanmar (2024) and serves 800 pupils of over 25 nationalities on two campuses, offering Cambridge IGCSE and A Levels. Pastoral care is very strong (the School operates a house system), and extra curricular activities are rich and broad. It is a member of both COBIS and FOBISIA

The School is driven by strong values, rooted in its family beginnings. It began as a small nursery school, with the Primary opening in 2003, followed by the Secondary in 2011.  The School is also hugely ambitious for its pupils and wider community. The Founder, Carole Kyaing was awarded an MBE for Services to Education in Myanmar in 2025.

The appointment of a Director of Academic  and Professional Excellence is likely to be central to the School’s next phase of development, and the drive for further educational improvement and consistency.  This new whole School position will be a senior leader who can be dedicated to teaching and learning, curriculum development, professional learning, and performance management, and will introduce a greater sense of vertical alignment across the three phases and two campuses. The school has joined High Performance Learning, an important vehicle for improvement and a new approach.

This role is likely to attract candidates who are approaching Principal level and whose passion lies more with teaching and learning than, say, pastoral leadership.  The leader will need a high level of experience and strong relational skills, combining deep educational thinking with a passion for improvement. They will need practical implementation skills and a commitment to developing their colleagues, and should also keep up to date with latest curriculum and pedagogical thinking but be discriminating in assessing what will work best for Network.

Interested candidates are invited to contact Hannah Green, International Appointments Consultant, at hannahgreen@rsacademics.com for an initial confidential discussion, including a copy of your CV/resume.

Principal – International School of Ahafo, Ghana

This is an unusual and potentially extremely interesting and rewarding opportunity.

The International School of Ahafo serves the community associated with the Newmont Ghana gold mine in western Ghana. It is a small, ambitious Cambridge curriculum school in a remote location that has developed significantly under the six years of leadership of Principal Meg Sutcliffe, who is retiring. ISA recently undertook its first CIS accreditation and is eagerly awaiting the report following a process that has been transformational for the school. It is a non-profit school, funded by Newmont and governed by an independent Board. All staff except the Principal are Ghanaian, as are most of the students.

The school is an integral part of Mensah Kumta Village, a green, attractive settlement housing the mine’s senior employees and their families. MKV has 90 residences, and good amenities including a swimming pool, tennis courts, gym, restaurant and even a small golf course.

The location of the school and its circumstances mean that the Principal will need to be resilient, comfortable in their own company or that of their family, and able to live within the community that the school serves. There is a rhythm to the community so that time away from the village is part of what makes life there work so well; the Principal can expect to have six good breaks a year, and this is supported by a competitive remuneration and benefits package.

The school offers a Cambridge education up to Year 9, when students either move to the Ghanaian system or to UK curriculum or IB schools in Ghana or overseas. The role would therefore particularly suit a leader with primary or middle school experience – although the current Principal comes from a secondary background. It will also suit candidates with experience in Ghana or elsewhere in Africa and who are accustomed to a small school environment.

Interested candidates are invited to contact Hannah Green at hannahgreen@rsacademics.com for an initial confidential discussion, including a copy of your CV/resume.
